Forum a bit Qt
Think we need an injection of new blood here. So I'm going to do a facebook page and get as many people to like and share, see if we can get some interest that way. If your on facebook please like and share your selfs. May even put a membership add on ebay. You never know. When this forum is in full flow its a great place to be. The banter is great and a friendly place. I need YOUR help to stop it dying. Your forum needs you...........

I'll start Tweeting immediately. Got some great Porsche contacts on Twitter.
I know we all pay to be members - but how much would somebody be expected to pay to advertise on here? I recently used Revolution Porsche up in Huddersfield for the Boxster. Bloody excellent service - I could approach Russ if it were very reasonable.

Re: Forum a bit Qt
After-thought.
I use boxa.net a lot -- plenty of Boxster, 911, 924, 944 even owners kick about in there.
Their model is free access to all. If you "donate" you get a VIP by your name to say you are a supporter. They charge site-sponsors.
What do you think ... Seems to have worked for them?! It wouldn't stop me paying a tenner a year regardless. The advice on here has saved me £££

Re: Forum a bit Qt
Only need about £200 a year to cover web hosting etc. some is covered by pompysteve and some by others who have there sites hosted by me. So only need to raise about £80 to cover it now. Other stuff like banners etc we already have. So for a forum banner lets say £10 a year. The £2 for new members for life should cover it. If not Pompey always puts his hand in his pocket, so do I and even Tux as been known to dig deep. Some real great blokes on here so I don't want it to die.
Re: Forum a bit Qt
I will dig deep too if required
Change the membership page on werepistonbroke.com and there will be a flurry of activity from me! I'll get onto Revolution and Pelican Parts then.

Re: Forum a bit Qt
'kin 'ell. That is cheap! I'll have 5 memberships then
I'll Tweet first thing tomorrow when they are all awake and can see it loud and clear. Got a few friends on there who I'm sure would love to join or raise awareness!

Re: Forum a bit Qt
Thanks for the e-mail telling of the forum's plight. I'll post a link on my other forums, and try to get on here more often.

The reason it is quite on here Rob is because YOU are on here. Feck off and it will be as busy as you like.

it's a laugh a minute on here tonight.tux wrote:The reason it is quite on here Rob is because YOU are on here. Feck off and it will be as busy as you like.
Ring spin? Did you lose it on the ring? In what? On video? I've got video of me losing the back end of my mates 964 on Porscheball 1. Full spin from one side of the track to the other. I'll have to cut the spin out and post it.
Re: Forum a bit Qt
Yes indeed, a little too eager and did almost 720 degrees, amazingly without hitting anything. Chris filled his pants in the passenger seat with a camera in his hand. He has the video somewhere, but I can't find the link.

Re: Forum a bit Qt
Gents. This banter has thoroughly cheered me up. Maybe we should delete this thread and replace it with 'forum is busy as hell'
