Donington
I have sent an e-mail to the organisers of this event on 7th March 2010 said we would be approx.ten cars and would if needed fit in with any other Porsche club.

Can't be any worse than Marlon Merlin
You using it to drive upto Edinburgh?? (should be home all day if you still fancy a cuppa, and we're less than 2 miles off the A1)

Nah, will be in the Goof as its 1/4 the price to run!! Free petrol from work anyway. TBH Paul it looks like I will be in Edinburgh until 6 or 7 so it will prob be getting too late by the time I'm on the way home.
Appreciate the hospitality though.

Re: Donington
Thought you all knew!
For the most part of 20 years I was a full time pro musician, took time out to manage a pub and do a few freelance IT jobs.
Now work for HP on a government contract within the MOD, but still do 1 or 2 gigs a week in the NE/Yorkshire area.
Slowly pulling back on the amount I do, trying to get it down to the corporate stuff and the odd venue I actually enjoy playing at
Saturday isn't one of those!! but it is only 12 miles up the road, saying that straight out of work tomorrow night and directly to a gig at another place I'd rather not be at!!
Mmm and the same again Sunday, thats even worse though its in Middlesbro' !!

Not happy about it, will be going in the Porka as well (no other car at the minute, although I am giving serious thought to cancelling)

Re: Donington
OOH! You're dicing with death there Gareth! Never ever call a Geordie anything other than a Geordie. Likewise Smoggie's and Maccam's take great offence to being confused.
Its even worse than calling Rob a Brummie is that!

Re: Donington
Just arrived in Edinburgh after 11 hours and 579 miles in the car! Managed to fit 4 hours on site in as well. What a day. Glad its over now.
I think I may retreat to the bar for a beer later, I think I've earned it.

Not a flake to be seen I'm pleased to report. Slightly frosty this morning, but other than that a sunny winters day.

Re: Donington they have requested that all clubs are at the circuit before 0800 hrs so it looks like an early start for some.

Have to find out where I'm working on the Sat. night, might just be easier to drive down after the gig and look for a 24 hr MaccyD's

Re: Donington
Not a problem for me!!!
Might I suggest meeting at Donington Park Services on J23a of the M1/A42 split. Loads of room for everyone to meet.

No McDonalds I'm afraid but it does have some form of SkippyBurger joint. Doubt it would be open at 8 am though.
