Name 1 single part the s type shares with the rover 75? NONE.
WHEN DID THEY PUT A 3LTR V6 IN A ROVER? NEVER!
They do share some parts with the FORD Mondeo granted but not many, The Xtype is a Mondeo with a jag body, but not the S TYPE..I here this crap all the time and its not based on any facts whatso ever. Unlike the Audi's you lot drive!!!!!!!

lol!

I know that - used to have one of those Mondeos. Just remind me of the Rover 75.

The Mondeo was (arguably) the most sensible car I owned. Bought it 9 months old on a 59 plate for £11,250 and sold it 10 months later to a work colleague for £10,500 ---- now that is cheap motoring.

It also led the way to the 924.

For the record the S-type has much more in common with the 2005+ Mustang they share the D2D/DEW floor architecture.
Although our friends in the new world threw away the perfectly good independent rear suspension and fitted something they had hanging around the workshop since about 1904.

Actually a lot of people call the Bentley Continental a VW as it shares a few parts from the VAG parts bin, so does the reverse work? Can I get away with calling my Goof a Bentley? Laughing
