Panic over....
After week's worrying that the Saab was going to cost a fortune to get it through the MOT, it passed with only a new bulb and a clip on the fuel breather pipe.
Banana booked in now on Monday morning at 11.

Nice! Similar to my Coupe
Didn't Rob have a yellow 24 with later alloys on it? Where's that now?

Love the Fiat ... but then I would woudn't I?! Wife had a yellow turbo a few years back .. awesome car if a bit precarious in the wet!!
Re: Panic over....
The Banana had its MOT today and failed.
Need to adjust the rear brakes as poor performance on both handbrake and normal braking.
Horn not working again after all the problems i had last year with it
N/S repeater loose
Headlamp aimed low
Battery insecure
Washer missing from a brake caliper bolt
All in all, not bad at all, being done Wednesday for about 200 including the mot.
Advisorys were the osr bearing has a little play as does the ns lower sus arm.

Re: Panic over....
A bit of a fussy MOT I'd have to say. My battery was never secured but never more than an advisory. Indicator loose ..FFS! I would have expected the other bits to be done in an hour tops.
Re: Panic over....
Battery now needs to be secure now as it's an mot failure as of start april. Vosa has implemented lots of new rules for this year.
Agree it's a fussy mot but at least he's doing his job to a t

Re: Panic over....
Including the exhaust should not be louder than when the car left the factory!
My MOT tester failed a Saxo with a loud exhaust on it!
He passed my stainless system as he quite rightly said he had no idea how loud a Porsche 924 would have been - but as it was designed to go quick, he'd imagine it wouldn't be whispering!

Re: Panic over....
That's what i said. He said that the bottom bolt of two that secures the caliper needs a split washer or something like that to stop the bolt from undoing, told him they had lock tight on them but he didn't accept that.
Don't know if that's a new rule or what?
