Puts the GIT at about the same as a Focus ST170. Also about the same as a 924 Turbo BTW Power to weight. usfull little site.. Icon_twisted

Found a site which has technical specs of all models and manufacturers. http://www.globalcar.com/datasheet/Peugeot/2006_Peugeot_207_1.6_16v_Turbo.htm

Interesting that the GIT weighs in at 875Kg whereas the latest 207turbo has ballooned to 1281kg. Would mean that the new model would have to have 190BHP to match power to weight of old one. It has 150 ... that's progress I guess!

That was always the key to the 1.9 Git's success, they were so bloody light compared to every other hot hatch at the time, and with a bigger engine than all of them until the Golf went to 2.0l but by that time the Golf was seriously overweight!
