Just out of interest, did Nico actually have to use that extra pedal with anyone on Sunday?
No! but he did say he wished the extra pedal was the one on the Right not the middle when you were driving....

Erm........ no comment!
No, he didn't use it on anyone. Although he did consider it with me on the way back!
wouldn't have done much good on the way back, with no pads left

How do you work that out you northern monkey hanger?
Re: Bubble & Kick Racing - Donington Track Day 13th March 2011
Truth is nobody knows how quick/slow my laps were, but we do know the times for Rob, Rob, Chris and Nico.
Mrs. tux wasn't worth measuring as my stopwatch doesn't measure anything larger than seconds and minutes.

I had the red mist on my last set of laps so was driving crap!
The middle set when I was listening to Nico were much smoother
I learned sooooo much! Mostly how much I still have to learn!
If that makes sense?

I agree with that. There is still sooo much to learn. A couple of things that Nico pointed out are just so damn obvious now that I know them, but I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

So I might let you off for Prescott and The Ring

Its usually "over-enthusiasm" that faults me, but on Sunday I was just relaxed and trying to enjoy the day. I had no ideas about setting lap records or anything like that, was just there to learn and enjoy. No idea how fast I went, though I will say that it felt a lot faster and smoother at the end of the day.

French it may be, but for me it was a bit of an eye opener. The Megane was a beautiful car to drive. Pretty quick, minimal body roll, very progressive grip and it "talked" to you. A big thumbs up from me. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
PompeySteve, please forgive me for misjudging your choice of car!

I have to agree on the car. 8 hours of being thrashed by us, on a GP circuit!
No Overheating, brake probs, rain and dry on same tires,
.
I overtook some posh machines fairly effortlessly . and they drove it home!

"GP circuit" might be stretching it a bit Chris. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] But it was the longer circuit including Melbourne Loop.

Must admit i'm hooked!
Turbo is in next week for MOT,service etc
Perhaps we can share the cost of another Donington Track Day and use that!
If we bugger it you can tow me the 5 miles home!

Just been looking at Mallory as well. Great minds think alike ......
..... and so do we! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Trouble is, I'd never get away without bringing 'er indoors along now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I'm very glad she came and enjoyed herself. It reduces some of the Macho/competitive bit of the day! I hope some others will be encouraged to give it a go

Re: Bubble & Kick Racing - Donington Track Day 13th March 2011
Its a normal production car Andy, so I really don't think you would have had a problem and you aren't that big. If you can fit in the Banana then you would easily fit in a Megane. I was surprised how little body roll there was, so I really don't think you would have had an issue.
I don't doubt we will do it again, maybe somewhere a little further South next time, so come along next time and try it out. What have you got to lose!
