Endurance Events Empty Endurance Events

A while back, I am sure I read an article about some chaps who visited every Porsche centre in the UK. Googled around and can't find it now.

Does this ring a bell with anyone??

I quite fancy doing something like this. I planned a route around the dealers and it would be 2200 miles and involve three ferries! One to Ireland, one back again and a return crossing to Jersey! I reckon it would cost £500 in fuel at 30mpg too ... plus the cost of the ferries.

If it could raise copious amounts of money for charity, I would be interested in doing it in the 924. Shocked

I think it would need a few people to take part and the advertising power of Porsche UK to make it work. Probably never happen, but it would be a right laugh and a worthy cause.

It's a nice idea but 2,200 miles would stick too big a dent in my limited mileage insurance policy and the insurance company won't go any higher! I will be struggling to fit Classic Le Mans in during 2014 and that's only 900 miles.

30 mpg your doing well. I'm getting about 16 mpg although to be fair I only go 6 miles to work and back every day and when I was followed to the garage by the RAC man (see altenator woe's) he said he had to wind the window down because the fumes were making him feel sick Shocked. Note to self get fuel mixture checked

Tux as the best idea. As he gets off the ferry he pulls the injection relay and phones the AA cheaper on fuel..... Cool
