Not sure TBH Jon. I think its just an excuse for lots of petrolheads to meet up and shoot the breeze while moaning about the possible closure of Donington Park Circuit.
I appreciate its a long way for you to come, but it would be great to have you along if you can make it.

Re: Save Donington 7th March
Lots of major car clubs will be in attendance, there'll be an auto jumble, chance to walk around the track to see whats needed to save it, IIRC there's a chance to get in the museum either free or cheap not sure which.
And I think the owners of the track will be there to give a talk.
Could be talking a load of crap though so I'll try and find out for certain [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Indeed, though crazy boy Schwantz came a little later as I recall. He was a proper lunatic. Suzuki even pulled Barry Sheenes "Red 7" out of a museum for him at one point.

Re: Save Donington 7th March
This is being attended by the PCGB with all models, and its not an official PCGB event so we've been asked if we'd like to join then.
By the sound of it there are no specifc stands as such from when I can tell.
Don't know if everyone is on the PCGB forum but what do you all think about joining up with them on this one?

Re: Save Donington 7th March
Saying that I've just read an open letter on the PCGB thread and if there are enough cars from one group they will set a space aside, so maybe we could get our own area once we get there.
Dave do you have time to look into this?
"If you own a classic or prestige vehicle and wish to park with similar vehicles, it would be very helpful if you contacted the email address [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with the make and model in the subject title. Also, if you know several members of your club are attending, you will be offered your own specific parking area to display your vehicles. We need to know how many from your group will be there, so please email [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with the name of your club in the subject title, and details of your numbers. "

Re: Save Donington 7th March
I have no issues either way. A space for us together or joining another group would be great.
I'm even tempted to tax Merlin now, specially for the occaision.

Re: Save Donington 7th March
I'll see how far I get with the bucket and chamois over the next week.
I see there is a possibility (though admittedly not a strong one) that Jonathan Palmer may chase the lease for Donington Park.

Out of interest, did we book an "official stand" for this or are we just "gatecrashing"??

Re: Save Donington 7th March
I remember Dave saying he spoken to the and that we had to be there by 8 but I don't recall if we have a space reserved, no drama if we don't I can have a word with Paul over at PCGB and see if we can gatecrash onto their pitch if not as its not an offical PCGB event

Re: Save Donington 7th March
Your club has confirmed space at the show on Sunday.
Please keep us up-to-date for any number changes. If it goes down, we'll need to know as we are still getting requests from clubs to increase their numbers, despite the elapsed deadline.
However, we will do our best to accomodate.
Please read the website. Turn up at the main gate, state your car club to the security staff and you'll be directed to your parking slot.
Regards,
Lee
