I assume you went straight home after the Keswick washout?! The hotel up there was really nice actually (although no where near the sat nav directions which led me to an empty cow field!).

you put in that you want a hotel next to a field of cows and that always happens.....No Cows!
I think the Welsh version is better, you always seem to get a hotel next to a field of sheep!

We country dwellers have a sixth sense about such things! Actually when I was a kid we used to play cow-pat russian roulette. The idea was that you had to decide whether it was crusty or fresh and then kick it ... guess wrong and there was hell to pay when you got home [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Ah .. simple days....
