After a disaster just befor the last MOT i has booked with my car dropping its steering fluid all over the floor on the morning of the MOT, I have another one booked today and a new rack to go in...
Fingers crossed I might actually be able to drive the 24s after nearly 2 months of ownership!

Makes my few weeks not seem so bad suddenly! The only problem is that I'm using my classic Mini as an every-day car at the moment, and it's TOO NOISY. I feel permanently half deaf!
Still waiting for the phone to ring from the garage Rolling Eyes not sure if it's passed or not yet...

yay!! it's passed (on the understanding i fix the washer jets, which seem to have stopped working en-route from my house to the garage)

First impression having not really driven it yet see good, no noise from the gearbox, although there does see to be a little backlash in the propshaft, but nothing major.

Any one got any idead what could be wrong witht he rear wiper, when you lift the arm up it works, but when it's on the screen it doesn't seem to...

Excellent news, do as Monkey sayd, don't stop til the debit card has metled form buying petrol Smile

Its been said but probably a worn motor, cover off give it a good clean, could even just be that its gunked up.
Clunking on the prop won't be bearings unless you are severely unlicky, probably ease off with use

Are you sure its the prop clunking ... try the CV joints at the back ... just grap hold and check they are tight. If all the bolts aren't tightened then you can get a knock on acceleration.

Take the rear wiper off and bung the hole ... its just clutter you don't need!
