Porsche wave
Here's a question...
I've had a few performance cars, and in most drives give a little wave at other owners when they pass on the road (Impreza's do it, RX7's do it, Civic Type-R did, proper Mini's do etc), or are we seen as not 'real' Porsche owners as we don't have new shiny cars that cost as much as a small house!
It would be interesting to know, I'm sure other 924 / 944 / 928 / 968 people will, but do the modern owners?
I don't want to look a *boobie* by waving first time I see one!

Re: Porsche wave
Front engined owners are normally more than happy to wave back (well except the 928 owner I saw the other week )
As for the 911/Cockster drivers, I wouldn't bother very little chance of getting a reply

RE PORSCHE WAVE
Yep always give a flash and wave when I see any of the front engined cars and usually get a wave back. Couple of guys round here with "proper" 911s and they wave too.

Re: Porsche wave
Here on Porscheball there are very expensive Beetles, but they are all very friendly and have given me lots of compliments about The Gulf even if it costs less than a brake disk for theirs!

RE PORSCHE WAVE
Always wave at Z3s too, usually get a wave back, but do get some odd looks when I forget which one I'm driving and wave at the wrong one

Re: Porsche wave
Never actually seen a 24/44 whilst out driving in mine but did get a flash and a wave off a 911 (or variant of). I was so taken aback I almost forgot to return the gesture

I always wave to 911's as i pass them on the ring!!! So come on now boys we don't need all this mid/rear engine Porsche bashing... At the end of the day we all love one brand!!

the trouble is most of the 911 drivers don't recognise a 924/44/28/68 not because they are ignorant, but because they didn't realise porsche made a front engined car or 2. i use mine daily and i can honestly say the only wave i ever got was from a carrera 2 as he passed me ,hand through the sun roof waving away.
was delighted and surprised.
and it was a uk reg bright red, probably on holiday.
