One weekend done, contemplating another

So Ye Olde Red Shed made it up to Mallory on Sunday for the Top Hat series meeting. Good fun as always and I managed to find a nice "avoid motorways" route that allowed me to have some fun getting there and back.

Prettiest thing running was this, I think

I know the engine is in the wrong place, but I did rather like it.

Next weekend is something of a dilemma. I'm either going to Snetterton for the MSVR "into the dusk" GT race or Silverstone for the 750 MC Birkett 6 hour Relay race. Decisions, decisions. I guess I'll wait until I see the entry lists.

BRSCC/Britcar Championships

On October 30th 2010 the BRSCC Midland Centre will run the Britcar Night Race at the legendary Donington Park circuit. Tickets will be available to buy on the gate for just £12, with entry for all under 16s completely free.

Tickets: £12 on the gate. Under 16s go free. Cool

OK, I've decided. Sillystone for the distinctly odd Birkett 6hr Relay. The entry for Snetterton is too poor to make it worth the trip.

There has been racing at Donington for a few months now. The crud we saw on the track in March was actually pretty localised, just where they were crossing the track with new services. The main mess is still there on the infield where they started digging out for new grandstands. Still looks rough even now.
The main thing is, as has been said that the track is up and running again and not in immediate danger of going into receivership. But it still needs your support ladies and gents, so if you have the chance to visit a race please do. One weekend done, contemplating another 915866
