Missing presumed scrapped... Empty Missing presumed scrapped...

In a bored moment I plugged the registration plates of some of my old cars (the ones I could still remember) into the insurance database to get an indication of whether they're still out there. Sad reading.

1989 Nova 1.3L - no more, not a surprise since it lived its entire life in the North of Scotland and was a bit of rust bucket when I sold it.
1993 Escort 1.8L - no more, in good nick when I last saw it but that was somewhere near Aberdeen.
1997 FIAT Bravo HGT - no more Sad Bought new by me and I do miss its lovely 5 cylinder 2 litre 20 valve engine. It sounded sooo sweet. Sold in 2001 in the South of England with just under 50,000 on the clock. I kinda hoped this one was still around.
2001 Volvo S40 T4 - no more. Not a surprise. Company car and thoroughly shagged when I handed it back after 3 years. 103,000 on the clock, knackered clutch and it had run out of oil once so sounded rather rough.
2004 Leon Cupra R 225 - still out there somewhere... Again a company car that left my care (hah!) in 2007 with 85,000 on it.

So, only one of my previous still alive. Sad to see so many old friends go.

I can't remember the older cars reg numbers I had in my youth, but more recently:

1992 MX6 - Gone. Shame as it was in good nick when I traded it in for the RX, but sat on the guys forecourt for at least 6 months, I assume it was then chucked in the auction!

1991 RX7 Turbo II - Still going. Shame I sold it really but couldn't justify the 10MPG..

1995 Subaru Impreza - Gone! was riddled with rust when I traded it in anyway!

1994 Subaru Legacy GT - Gone! I sold it with a knackered gearbox so hardly a surprise.

2005 Civic Type-R - It was nicked from outside my house, so (fortunately) numberplate does not show up!

1998 Peugeot 306 GTi 6 - Still going. Only sold it 6 months ago and was mint anyway!

1982 - Land Rover Series 3 - still have it in a barn but hasn't moved in 12 years. Great 1st car.

1990 Peugeot 405 1.6 - Gone - approx 2 months after traded it in for first ever (and only to this point) brand spanking new motor

2002 Corsa Sxi - Still going, should never have traded it in but when I saw the next car I couldn't resist, really should have though!

1997 Alfa GTV Twinspark - doesn't appear to be going still, not surprising as gearbox was on the way out and it was an Alfa!

2001 Saab 9-5 Aero HOT - Engine damage due to oil starvation - however back on the road apparently, made me sick what I lost on this car in 3 years but what a car!

1999 Ford Cougar V6 - Still with me, bought for £900 with 6 months tax and 12 months MOT 13 months ago :-) Great car and still the daily driver, just sailed through another MOT with no advisories - probably have to move her on this year though as the lady indoors can't drive manual (not her fault she is American).

1990 944 S2 - bought from Rob and loving every minute of it, photo's will come once I've finished the clean up job on it though!

I'd like to thank you RPUK, you've made me spend most of my evening trying to remember all the cars I've owned and that my parents ever owned trying to see if they are still on the road - surprisingly some are!
