Going up by train as it is cheaper (never thought I would get to say that!). Its been a while since I did public transport so I'm not sure they still do request stops en route
Re: Break Out The Beer!
Cheaper by train???? Surely that is only possible if traveling goat class with Delhi Rail!
Have a good one anyway.

£108 return .... 544 miles --- that's 20p per mile which doesn't go far at the moment with the motor!

Unfortunately yes I have, though I'm not sure it's actually BR anymore!
In fairness to the train operators the service and cleanliness isn't too bad, its just the cost that takes the *wee wee*.

Re: Break Out The Beer!
I had to get the bus to work on Thursday, it was £2.40 and took 45 mins to do a journey which would cost me £1.50 in petrol and take 10-15 mins. Doesn't exactly inspire me to give up the car.

Re: Break Out The Beer!
If you can book at least 48 hours in advance then its not that expensive was only going to be £26.50 to North Wales when I nearly bought the Alfa, normally that fare could have been anything from £48-76 !!

£26.50 to get INTO Wales. The con is they charge three times as much for the return journey to get out again!!!
That used to be the big joke on the Severn Bridge, it was free to get into Wales, but they made you pay to get out! Finally got fed up with the jibes and changed it round.

Varied selection of cars there.
We had a GTR rock up on our works car park, I didn't realise how big they were
The XR2i looks a bit rough
