I'm in London on Friday night so getting there could be "challenging" but I'm really keen to meet with you guys.
Monkeyman say " £3.50 is for both for the sunday and monday, you can leave sunday evening if you wish but they are asking if we will attend both days.
getting the idea that its going to be just the sunday which woul be ok.
if you can send your money as a gift to me via paypal(amdevlin@hotmail.co.uk)
along with name, make model year vrn and ill fill out the forms and send them off for you."
So £3.50.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
It's a shame you not coming.
Quick question. Who got the stuff like gazebos and stove etc?

Gazebo is at the Porscheshop. It's Dba's rest I think Chris had some of it.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
I can bring a stove and kettle if told I need to do so before this Sunday...
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
Bit worried mine isn't going to make it. Hopefully going to get it MOT'd on Tuesday though still not got a wing mirror due to the lack of response to my posted question

You only need 2 operatiponal rear view mirrors for an MOT e.g a van with no rear view mirror or my first car a base level Nova (wasn't even the L model ) did not have a passenger mirror from factory. The only thing they may get say is if it should be there it has to work.

Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
Not having been to one of these events, can somebody enlighten me as to the reasons for going?
Are we there to represent the site? Or just to meet up and have a good time?
What else is there? Just classics or exotica too?

Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
Generally everyone meets up, drives to the show from the meeting point and then takes the *wee wee* out of each other all day. A bit like the forum, but in person really.
The goal of the forum is not to promote anything, it is just to have a few laughs and ocaisionally help each other out. No promotion or representation needed.
The larger part of the show will likely be classics, there will be a few moderns and a few oddities but to be fair exotica is usually not very well represented.

We sit about and laugh at Tux, think that's why he does not come anymore. Mind who would want to look at his German barge. Looks like I will be coming along. J2 seams a bit crap for this one. Maybe the services at hopwood j2 of the m42 instead. Ragley hall is a fantastic venue. So who's not going in a Porsche. Me with a Vectra may even tow the boat there as well.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
Ill be in my 924. Shame the new log book hasn't arrived, would have been nice to get the new registration on before then!
It's been polished within an inch of its life today.
Just got to tart up the Boxster now !

No, Rob just comes across as camp but he isn't really.
Like as not you can get new plates made up at the show, there is usually someone doing them and they are not usually too fussy about the paperwork. They just sell them as "show plates" is all.

That's a better option for me.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
ill look at google later and work it out as we are all coming from different directions.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
Its the best place to meet. No need to look at Google everyone will pass it.

Only if I miss the turning for Ragley Hall and drive on in a northerly direction for another 15 miles before I realise my mistake. It is, however, better than M5 J2 which would mean an extra 56 mile round trip for me.
Re: Ragley Hall, 26th May
The weather forecase for Sunday is 17c and (kind of) sunny with light winds. Should be a fine day folks ... Get polishing!

Eh? Not quite sure I understand... do you want to run that one by me again?

Polish. Shiny stuff that protects your car and makes it look new again.
Hang on ... Wait ... You mean ... You never clayed a car?

No... Polish = nasty abrasive stuff that removes a tiny layer of your paintwork every time you apply it. Wax = stuff that protects your car!
However... my point was you've rather misunderstood the errrr... club ethic... when it comes to shows. We're not THAT big on polishing...
I MIGHT throw a bucket of water over it...
