What Is Your P&J These Days?
I reckon most of us no longer drive stuff from Stuttgart these days. We seem to have moved on and "evolved." So what do you drive now? And why?
Me? I have an oil burning Mercedes C Class. Bought because I tend to cover starship mileages at work and I wanted something comfortable and economical and this fitted the bill. Plush floaty seats, electric everything, seat warmers and driven sensibly it gives me around 65 to the gallon. Oh, and for a three year old Merc it ws very cheap!

Very recently changed from the 924 for an S2000 as posted because it was bargin city, and still driving the soul less 1.4 Xsara as the family car but would like to change this for a Golf GTI at some point.

I think it's no secret that my daily drive is the my BMW 330. It is the best car I've owned. Super quick, refined, comfortable and corners like its on rails
Re: What Is Your P&J These Days?
I mostly drive/ride a honda 150 PCX due to only doing short trips, lovely weather and easy parking in the city. I also have a Izuzu 3.0 Td Grand Adventure which is 7 seater and based on a truck with leaf springs. This does a lot of off road, poor road trips. It's done 300,000 km and still feels strong. It rattles, has crap lights, warn steering, rides like a boat over the potholes and terrible roads here. On the good side it's huge, has a big boot, inbuilt fridge and goes anywhere relatively comfortably if slowly.

Still using the Saab as a daily drive but looks like I'm going to have to head down the economy route very soon, just begrudge the cost of running it afetr the summer fun, so a drab oil burner will be the car of choice in the near future

I don't think I could part with it if I'd spent as much as Dave did on a rubber ring.

Very true that. £1500 inc fitting, mind you should be good for another 25 years

Re: What Is Your P&J These Days?
I know all about those rubber rings, replaced one in the depths of winter, never again!! Especially as that car appears to have been scrapped in the last year or so, had a near new rubber in it as well :/
Well after my short flirtation with the dark Swede I'm back with a German again, and very happy about it I must say!!
