Re: List for Donnington
I still hope to make it on the 7th...fingers crossed.
Been to the Save Donington website & read this bit...
Firstly, we wish to collect plenty of “evidence” of the fan base. It
would be great if every person attending could bring at least one item
of memorabilia. This could be old programmes (or photocopies of the
cover, for example), children’s drawings of their experiences of
watching racing, old ticket stubs or posters (or photocopies, again),
letters or notes of support, anything that can be compiled into a
permanent wall display. So, put your thinking cap on and see what you
can bring with you on the day.
...anyone got anything to take? I might have some old ticket stubs if the wife hasn't had a "tidy up" & thrown them out [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: List for Donnington
As things stand at present, Vicky has expressed an interest in coming along [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] (but she's a typical 11 year old so changes her mind like the weather). Whatever happens...I'll be there.
Hoping to have done the gearbox, exhaust & changed the interior in time...but my back is giving me some stick so not sure I'll get it all sorted.
Have we got the meet up place sorted (Lord Chris's place..a Micky D's (Vicky's choice)...Motorway Services...) & times, etc?

Re: List for Donnington
I think the easiest place to meet would be Donington Park Services (point your satnav at DE74 2TN) as this is only 1.5 miles from the Donington Park main entrance. No Maccy D's I'm afraid, but if you are coming up the A42 Pete, pull off at J11 or J13 and there are McDonalds on both junctions with drive throughs.
The services does have a BK and a Costa Coffee, though I can't confirm whether either will be open early on a Sunday morning. I would suggest Costa may be open but BK def won't.
Shall we say meet at 07:30 ready for an 07:50 departure. This will have us knocking on the front door just before 8am.

How long do you reckon you will be there? I won't be able to make the 8am entry as I'm helping my father-in-law move house must of the weekend and i've got to return the hire van a 9 on Sunday morning [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] , but I am thinking of driving over, parking up and walking in to meet eveyone.

It looks like it will be most of the day Gareth.
PM me a phone number and I'll give you a shout on Sunday morning if you like.

Good on you Jon. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Entrance is apparently free for all, all day. Will cost a fiver to get into the museum if that takes your fancy though and that is heavily discounted. Loads of public parking.
Get up to us whenever you can, it'll be good to meet up again.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Is Paul on the "poofter" drinks again! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
120 miles is only 1hr 40 at that time of night. Even less if Rob is driving.
