Re: my fake porka ,
And I'd agree with that about Turbos' never had one but I've heard the horror stories!!
The car looks great I'd stick with it and as its had those mods already i wouldn't worry to much about the colour. make it your own, as its been said those early cars are getting a bit rare, well worth getting the job finished

Re: my fake porka ,
sorry Stu that post was meant for a different thread don't know how it ended up in here!!
Anyway back to your thread I suspect your timing is 180 degrees out, thankfully the 2.0l engine is non interference so you can't break anything but I'd guess thats the problem.
If I knew now in 2000 I'd still have my 79 924 to this day

Re: my fake porka ,
ye ill have a mess in the morning , i may be using the wrong marks thears more tipx on the flywheel than in the bottle , i foing one that said 0 to i timed it to a dot on the top wheel , but im just guessing , whats the unleaded ignition timing . i have set it at 10 degrees
Re: my fake porka ,
Don't use the dot on the FRONT of the cam pulley, use the mark on the BACK of it.
