FAIL!!!!!!!!

Frontera went into the garage for its mot and, yep, as i thought it would - FAILED
Not as bad as i thought it was going to be

OS headlight lose and aims low
excess gases from font exhaust - manifold gasket has gone which i knew which is why it propely passed the emmissions!!
leaf spring got 2 rather than the 3 it should have
movement in steering rack - was nicked so new steering wheel should sort that all out and the horn which had to be disconnected as it would sound when u turn a corner
NS rear lights dodgy - bad earth i think

Reckon i can get it all done for £300, not to bad for 12 more months motoring

On a ebay mission now for parts

Oh, forgot that there is excessive corrosion around the seatbelt mounting for the back
Was only on the sill which is less than 12 inches away from the mounting point - simple plate and 5 mins work

Sounds like a bit of a result to me actually!

Shame about the Beemer though.

Was hoping it would be a scrappy job but might wait till winter and hope it snows like it did this year as the prices went up quite alot so should get about 600 for it - will have to see

I’m assuming you’re local, perhaps the yellow one around by the Saab dealership, the white 924 around WOT or the red 944 in Avonmouth…?

Went to a scrap yard and they wanted 60 quid for it - called gsf, partco, euro car parts - the latter was the only one who sells them now and wanted 58 quid for it - thought scrap yards are ment to be cheap??
