mot time
bought my range rover p38 Di 4 weeks ago to replace my mini as my daily drive. the range rover had one months mot as it was expecting to need lots of work so £800 changed hands and i had potentially with a years ticket a £2k motor.
so knowing what they were like at mot time i paced around waiting for the test to end and get the fail certificate.
well it did fail
a £3 shock bush and a £10 drop link
result!!! was up for sale for £1700 but i got him down to £800 because of the short mot.

Re: mot time
Does a hell of alot more than my Frontera - got a manifld exit leak so only getting 18 mpg
only a 2.4
only a 2.4
Re: mot time
Ouch! Mind you had a 2.3D a few years ago and that struggled to get over 22/25
Problem is that the Fronty is heavy old bus, LWB is about a ton less than a Range Rover but the engines just aren't really upto the job so there's nowhere near enought torque.
Might feel like there is, but tow a double horsebox with both and you'll notice then that there is a massive gulf of difference between them.
Fronty's were the X5/X3 of the 90's

Re: mot time
the rangie gets on average 32mpg from its 6 cylinder BMW 2.5 disease'l with a weight of 2115 kg.
its my 4th rangie as well as about 15 series landies 2 defender110's and a 300tdi disco. rangies are by far the best. most comfortable, best driving position and they make you feel like royalty looking down on pondscum
not even my landcruisers made me feel like that
