MOT Time

The wifes old clio needs taxing before the end of the month but the MOT is up on the 9th May so I thought I better get that done first, as if it needed a lot of work I would get rid.

FAILED but only on a fractured spring and no other advisories so I tooks so it looks like it's here for another year.

Result! Quite surprising for a French car!

I supose. A little bit of wanted it to fail so I could get rid of it (it's an n/a diesel) but to be fair I havn't really got the money to buy somthing else.

Think of all the fuel it saves though, guess it must be the 1.9D, can't remember what mine did but I'm sure it was around 45mpg.

Again its good for the Porka mroe fuel funds to put in it

Yep 1.9D which is its only saving grace as most cars of this size only get a 1.5

Oh I don't know they still have great torque (once you get them wound up)
Had some cracking road kill with mine, topped it off with a Pheasent's head through the Rad and splattered up the screen

Don't talk to me about Rads. The one on the Audi has just exploded! At least I know where the water was going now!

The copper stuff has already done its job Chris, so no loss there.
Just ordered a replacement from ECP, only £69 delivered. On consulting ElsaWin it looks as though its a front of car off job tho!

Just what I was thinking. Don't think I could stand the embarrassment of coming home with the AA again!
Managed to blag my way out of a job in London on Saturday so I'll do it then. Ordered discs and pads all round as well so that'll keep me busy for the day.

The rear callipers on mine were horrible....sorted now though

The front ones on the '77 weren't too clever either!
