Re: My daily driver
How do you find it as a 'daily driver' and how many miles do you do annually?
just asking because i'm considering giving up the company car

Re: My daily driver
Apart from the battery, which I replaced today, I've replaced the bonnet and hatch struts and the only real problem was with the wipers needing a new connecting piece. I still need to replace the sunroof gears and to re-solder the hrw connection.
I've done around 5000 miles in the year I've had it so it doesn't get a lot of use even as a daily driver.

Re: My daily driver
I expect I'll do around 10k in the S Chris, only 2 weeks in so can't say much, especially when the fan belt snapped yesterday, but have a replacement in hand (£5.17 inc discount from GSF)
But I don't see why you can't use one of yours every day, after all they are damned comfy cars to drive over distance and the '44 and S have the benefit of PS

Couldn't agree more!
Most of you know I suffer with my back (herniated a disc quite a few years back). My '24 was the only motor I could drive non-stop to Glasgow & get out without any pain. The trips to the 'Ring were the same, no discomfort at all.
Re: My daily driver
Yep, when I made the drive down to Sandwell in '08 it was a real pleasure, got out of the car feeling a fresher than I did after a 6 mile trip in the 106!!

Re: My daily driver
May be using my car yet, if you buy a '44! Buggered if I'm doing 800 miles in the back of one of them!
Looking forward to the Millau Bridge.

Re: My daily driver
Romantic? With Rob in attendance? Do me a lemon!
Me, Rob, Mrs. Rob and Mrs. tux will be having a weeks holiday in Tossa De Mar on the way back from the 'Ring in September. Thought it might make for a fun holiday.
