Cars the star show in Cumbria - 18th July 2010
I think Rob has spoken to a number of you about this trip up north. Sorry to those who wanted to do Uxbridge but as you know I have to get a hiking trip in sometime and this was the first show I came across!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I think it is the same one we went to a few years back and isn't particularly big but any excuse for a trip to the Lakes has to be worth it. I will certainly be staying on for the Monday and going hiking .. I will happily give a guided tour to anyone who wants to join me. (Must have boots/ waterproofs and ability to walk for half a day without crying [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ).

I'm staying at the Kendal Travelodge on Sunday night which is only a couple of miles from the show venue and pretty central for western lakes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
If anyone does want to go hiking on Monday then the cost at the moment is about £50 for a double/family room.

Show starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm. its approx 2 3/4 hours drive from here J3 M5 so would be about 3 3/4 for you. Problem is that only you me dave and pete were going to Uxbridge. we should get about 10 to the lakes. Some are making a weekend of it. we did this show a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. We have a lot of members up north and no show up there. No one from the south east was intrested in Uxbridge (always the same) so its been moved. Pompey is coming all the way from the I.O.W. So is no-one thinking of staying in Barrow-in-Furness this time [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Will be over for this one as its only a couple of hourse away, sharp away at 4 sadly as I've got a prior commitment on the night-time, was expect you all to be in Uxbridge so I took a booking, but will be there for the show itself
