Photo's finally...
OK apologies for the delay in getting some pictures up but almost a month into 944 ownership and loving it. Most of you are familiar with the car and its previous owner so no need to go to much into it here. That said I've spent a good number of hours valeting and detailing the interior, still lots to do so more pictures will follow in due course.
Also had an amateur go at repairing the side bolsters (not finished yet but a little better than they were.

(ok hope all those pics uploaded properly!)

I see you're in London. I had a chap in Bracknell who used to work for Mulliner Park Ward replace all four bolsters on my driver's seat for £140. Looks lovely now. Drop me a PM if you're interested and I'll pass the details.
Re: Photo's finally...
Actually thas a pretty damn tidy job for a temporary repair. Nice work.

Great to hear you're enjoying it, youv'e got a great car there, but then you know that already
Those sports seats always wore more quickly than the regular seats, getting in is a mission in the normal ones without those huge bolsters!!

I suspect the word "bottom" or one of its derivatives may be missing from that statement!

You started at 7am? I didn't realise 7 came around twice in one day!
Working at home today, so using the "office" in the spare room which is 5 yards from my bedroom. I like to be "at work" by 9am. Today I was 40 minutes late!

Re: Photo's finally...
Typical, go to start her tonight for a quick jolly out and nadda, not having any of it. Attempts to turn over then stops with the sound of a solenoid or relay going nuts then will attempt to turn over again once or twice. I think it's a flat battery but need to pull the other motor up next to her and get the old jump leads out. Oh well, have to delay the jolly for a day to two!

Sound like the battery. if you leave them for a couple of weeks the alarm etc will drain it.
Re: Photo's finally...
Yeah thats what it seemed like, will sort over the next couple of days.

A new battery and she's happy as Larry, actually looks like the old battery was a little under powered and looking through the quite full service history (with receipts for wiper blades etc) it doesn't look like its had a new one in the last 7 years at least - did discover she has a leak in the back though which I'll need to take a look at, the carpet/foam backing was soaked! Still took her for a drive and all good!

when you get a dry day clear out the 4 drains for the sunroof, you can be sure its a blocked one thats caused the dampness
