I've got my first "S"
If you've read other posts you'll realise by now I'm the proud owner of a 924S
& yes, you're right, it is the one Paz posted for sale on here.
MOT till Oct, Tax till March so for £300 I'm a very happy man. OK, it needs a bit of a tidy & there are a few mechanical issues to sort (but hopefully nothing major) but for the money, I got a bargian.
He threw in all the bits he mentioned in his post (Turbo Badge Panel, fiberglass sill covers, spare front bumper, a good Avon tyre...& a stick to hold the hatch open ).
I threw a bucket of water over it & it's looking better already.
What could be a bonus is the reg. number. Obviously it will soon be wearing BLOW PW & I thought the plate it has now was just another one of those £50 ebay Irish plates & wouldn't be worth the £105 to put it on retention & was just going to let it go when I change plates. However, after searching ebay for similar reg's, I've had a change of mind.
Go to ebay, click on Cherished Numbers in ebay Motors & search for PAZ & you'll see what I mean......
Pic's will have to follow later. Off to Scotland at midday tomorrow & not back till Thurs evening.

Re: I've got my first "S"
I'll do my best to take some pic's on Friday...but might be Saturday.
The long term plan is to fit the Carrera kit (but there's a couple already on here that will put my lowly efforts to shame) but in the short term, as I have a couple of different front spoilers & some side skirts, all I need to find is an under bumper rear spoiler & I think I'll fit those, knock out the few dents & scrapes, get the paint out & that will tidy up the outside for now.
Will be fitting the red & black seats out of Gladys along with the steering wheel, give the carpets a hoover, polish the the crackless dash (well, it has one tiny crack by the centre speaker cover but it's hardly noticable) & the interior will be sorted. Will have a go at fitting my cream clocks at a bit of a later date.
Mech wise, change all fluids & filters & save up for the belt changes (if the paperwork & mileage are right, the belts were done about 10000 miles ago...but in 2005), check brakes & renew if needed.
Not a lot really.

That exhaust would be cool. Just wondering whether it might strangle a 2.5 a tad? Maybe Pete will try it and let us know.

Re: I've got my first "S"
Not sure the Janspeed will fit. Might have a look-see (not sure Rob would be too pleased if I take it off Gladys mind).
Got a good Stainless one fitted on the "S" at the mo so not sure it worth changing it.

Re: I've got my first "S"
It really does work in Rob's favour there, totally different exhaust on the S

Re: I've got my first "S"
Not to worry, the Stainless one fitted is fine. Sure I can get the same kind of sound by altering the back box & fitting twin tail pipes (we do have a Fab Sop at work & we use Stainless tube )
Re: I've got my first "S"
Talking of you works fab shop, mate, best pal, my fav person in the world.
Me needs a bumper grill for me top cat, would look great with a stainless one cut out with a nice design. its only about 18" by 6" not very big the one that should be there is missing.

Re: I've got my first "S"
You give me the size & design & I'll sure we can cut it for you.
Satin or Mirror Polished Stainless?
Satin or Mirror Polished Stainless?
Re: I've got my first "S"
satin, i'll measure it. i will have to have a little fold at the top to drill holes to fit it. would like the words TOMCAT as large as possible and then stick mesh behind it.
Re: I've got my first "S"
No prob mate. Do a quick sketch of what you want & let let me know the true size you need (in metric please...the guys who do the CAD work don't know what inches are ) & how much of a fold you need. Even get the holes done in the fold for you.
Re: I've got my first "S"
I really used to enjoy following you through tunnels with that Janspeed on
