Steering wheel change Empty Steering wheel change

I've changed the slightly tatty original "lozenge" steering wheel for this rather swanky Momo affair

http://www.momo-uk.co.uk/gallery/tuning/steeringwheels/momo-tuner-steering-wheel.htm

minus the raised centre ring to accommodate a Porsche crested centre horn push-button. The wheel works well (in that the car still turns corners) and it has a subtly different angle to it which gives me a more comfortable driving position.

I may look into getting the original wheel renovated when funds allow.

I went the other way with mine and sold a Momo to go back to the original wheel, kind of wished I hadn't after about 3 days!!

Good idea to keep the original and have it refurb'd and keep to one side

Heh. 'Twas cheap compared to the alternatives. A replacement original was @ $1,100 and even a reconditioned one was £2-300.
