Wooden steering wheel
My recently purchased 944 has a wooden steering wheel with porsche badge centre. Even the 3 spokes that hold it onto the hub is wood. Which car is this likely to come from and what kind of price is it worth? It is in perfect condition but I don't think I like it on a 944! Might sell it if I find a better leather one!

Re: Wooden steering wheel
No idea Can you upload a pic?
I was the same when I bought mine, it had a 3 spoke RS type wheel, despite how big the originals may look I was much happier when I sold mine aftermarket one for an original. (Part ex'd plus £80, so the RS one was worth about £120, not sure about a wooden one though

Re: Wooden steering wheel
Sounds like an after market wheel. A mint leather 944 wheel will not come cheap.
Re: Wooden steering wheel
Indeed, it does sound aftermarket. Even the old 356 wheels had alloy spokes.

Re: Wooden steering wheel
As Rob rightly says if you want a mint standard one they are not cheap, but a useable one should be able to be had for around £40-60
